New Woodstock Hills
Photographic Thoughts: This image is an example of "telescopic compression". That is, using a long lens, focused at a distance, tends to "compress" the scene, creating the effect you see here where the hills appear to be compressed together.
I photographed this scene in the early morning, when the sun highlights the mist, and backlights the hills. The image has been photo-finished in mostly black and white, to highlight the pattern of the hills. But I chose to leave a hint of color for overall effect.
