The Icelandic Highlands @ Landmannalauger are in a remote area of south-central Iceland with dramatic mountains and astonishing colorful landscapes (caused by varied minerals appearing near the surface) which form intriguing abstract patterns.

Check out the videos & images from the solo hiking I did there for a few days, in the clouds and periodic light rain/ mist.

- On what I had hoped would be Hiking Day1 there was a huge storm & an avalanche blocked the road in... so almost no one was there. No hiking that day!

- The weather cleared a bit on Hiking Day2 & I had a great hike starting through the lava field.

- On Hiking Day3 I took the trail to Skali, just up-and-back, without making it all the way up over Skali due to time.
